Netflix users may one day be able to download movies and TV shows.
Right now, Netflix only streams its shows and movies. Since there is no download option, users have no way of watching offline.
Netflix’s CEO isn’t making any promises, but in an answer to a question asked by Re/code during the company’s earnings call this week, he said, "It’s something we should keep an open mind about."
Both Amazon and YouTube allow subscribers to download some of the videos their services offer.
