BOSTON (WHDH) - Boasting the lowest poverty rate in the nation, New Hampshire topped the list of the most successful states in the country.

The study conducted by Zippia.com  considered poverty level, median household income, and the state’s unemployment rate.

New Hampshire and Massachusetts managed to crack the top 10 most successful states. New Hampshire ranked most successful despite having only the seventh-highest median income.

Massachusetts has a substantial median income as well as the eighth-lowest poverty rate to ring in as 10th on the list.

Maryland, Minnesota, North Dakota, and Hawaii rounded out the top five.
