ROCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire Marine Patrol officials say a water skier from Massachusetts was seriously injured when he was struck the propeller of a power boat, and his cousin has been charged with felony boating while intoxicated.
Authorities say 38-year-old Brian McComiskey, of Woburn, Massachusetts, was water skiing on Baxter Lake in Rochester when the boat’s propeller struck him, seriously injuring his leg. He was taken via life flight to Maine Medical Center.
Police charged his cousin, John Paul McComiskey, also of Woburn, with operating under the influence and say his conduct caused his cousin’s injury.
Brian McComiskey’s condition was not known, according to police. The incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
It was not immediately known if John Paul McComiskey has a lawyer.
