It’s been a mild winter in the northeast, but one man in New Jersey is taking the season into his own hands.
He came up with a do-it-yourself way to make up for the missing snow, turning his front yard into a winter wonderland.
Michael Jannicelli said his homemade north pole is a childhood dream come true.
“It’s awesome being the only house or yard in Hawthorne and Passaic County that has snow,” Jannicelli said. “I had a lady pull over there, get out of her car, look both ways, run across the street and touch it.”
Jannicelli started making snow Monday with a “snow gun”. After two nights in action, the snow in spots was 10 inches deep.
Jannicelli’s son Michael said word of his snow is spreading fast.
"When I walk into school in the morning I at least get five kids asking, ‘How did you get snow on your lawn’?" Michael said.
