New video shows a large explosion that damaged a bakery in Belmont on Tuesday.
The video shows the oven inside Ohlin’s bakery exploding at around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning as the owner was near it.
In the video, the owner, Paul Klemm is seen working feet from the oven when it explodes. Another nearby employee runs to assist him after the blast.
Repairs are continuing on the back side of the bakery days after the explosion.
Klemm says he does not know when the bakery will reopen.
A nearby barber damaged in the blast has reopened.
As for the cause of the explosion, investigators say Klemm turned on the oven’s gas but that the oven did not immediately ignite. Investigators say something likely ignited the oven minutes later after a building up gas.
