Welp, we have a new pattern to prep for…..rain. We don’t have rain in store every day this week but after glancing at our 7-day forecast, you do notice more raindrops in the coming days than the previous weeks!
Before we get into the rain we’ll actually step back into late summer mode today..once we shake an early morning chill. Those temps are starting in the 40s right now but a nice southerly breeze and leftover dry air (before giving way to humidity) will send temps well up into the 70s by afternoon. Pretty wild on the wardrobe as jackets, hoodies a good idea but shorts will serve you well later today. The building humidity keeps temps mild overnight.
Tomorrow offers a chance at a few isolated showers but a continuation of late summer warmth & humidity with temps once again heading for the 70s. By Wednesday we’ll have not one but two weather systems bearing down on us….a cool front from Canada and low pressure with tropical moisture. What this means for you is an all day rain with falling temps. The cool front sends temps from the low 70s early in the day into the upper 50s by evening with a developing cool wind while the Low Pressure offers tropical downpours across the region leading to 2" of rain and perhaps some locations upwards of 4" of rain by late Wednesday evening.
Rain will fade by Thursday but clouds are likely to linger for the day (and again on Friday) before another rainstorm takes a swipe at us on Saturday.
Get your rain gear ready.
