A New York firefighter is being praised for saving a 3 week-old boy.
Adam Vilagos says he and his fellow firefighters responded to a house fire Tuesday night.
Upon arriving at the scene they found panicked parents, screaming that their newborn son was still inside.
Vilagos ran into the home and rescued the baby.
“I wound up actually bumping into the crib. And I heard very faint noises. The baby was making faint noises and I reach in, I felt the baby and I just grabbed him and took off,” said Vilagos.
The baby boy is being treated at Cornell Medical Center.
He is expected to be fine but doctors are watching him as a precaution.
