NEWTON, MASS. (WHDH) - Newton is holding a community meeting to discuss traffic improvements in West Newton Square after a fatal crash earlier this year.
A car crashed into the Sweet Tomatoes restaurant back in March, killing two people and injuring seven others. Police said the driver went straight through the intersection without stopping.
The Department of Public Works will be installing crash-resistant posts in front of buildings at the intersection where the crash happened.
Officials said the investigation is still open and it is not known if any charges will be filed yet.
