BEDFORD, NH (WHDH) - A New Hampshire man has been arrested for allegedly recording underage girls in a Target dressing room.

According to Bedford police, on Wednesday, June 22 around 9:15 p.m., they responded to the Target store on South River Road for a report of a man recording juvenile girls who were changing clothes in a dressing room.

Before police arrived, the suspect ran away from the story.

Following an investigation, police identified the suspect as Zachery Bishop, 22 of Raymond.

Police said two teen girls were inside the dressing room when Bishop went into an adjoining dressing room and reached his phone into their dressing room, looking at them.

Police said one of the girls confronted Bishop when she saw the phone.

Bishop was arrested after surrendering himself on the warrant Thursday night and was charged with violation of privacy.

He was arraigned Friday in Merrimack District Court and is being held on $2,000 bail.

The store released a statement on Friday:

“At Target, our guests are at the center of everything we do and our commitment to creating a safe and secure shopping environment in our stores is unwavering. As a part of this commitment to safety, we have robust procedures, policies and trainings in place to ensure that our stores are safe places to shop and work.”
