A man was charged taken into custody in Concord Saturday after police discovered he was driving with a suspended license and registration.

According to New Hampshire state police, a trooper stopped 28-year-old Christopher Chasse of Manchester on I-93 in Bow, for travelling 88 miles per hour in a 55 miles per hour zone.

The trooper took Chasse into custody after determining both his license and registration was suspended.

After Chasse was taken into custody, a substance believed to be heroin was found in his pants pocket. Additional drugs and drug paraphernalia were also located in the car, including numerous hypodermic needles.

Chasse was charged with operation after revocation/suspension, operating with suspended registrations (acts prohibited), and speeding.

Chasse was released and is due to appear at the 6th Circuit Concord District Court on May 3 at 8:00 a.m.
