SALEM, N.H. (WHDH) - A New Hampshire mother was arrested after police said she was driving erratically with children in the car.
According to Salem police, officers responded to Main Street Wednesday for a report of a car driving erratically. Witnesses said the car drove onto a median and then completed a dangerous U-turn.
Police said the car then pulled into a parking lot and hit a parked car.
The driver, 29-year-old Sarah Breau admitted she had just traveled to Lawrence to buy heroin.
She also said she was “nodding off” just before hitting the parked car.
Two children, ages eight and nine, and a dog were in her car at the time.
Police also found several plastic bags with a powdery substance in the car.
Breau was charged with possession of a controlled drug (heroin), two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and two counts of criminal mischief.
She was held on $1,000 cash bail and arraigned on Thursday in the 10th Circuit Court District Division-Salem. She was then released on $5,000 PR bail.
