CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — A New Hampshire woman has been sentenced to two years in federal prison for drug trafficking, U.S. Attorney Scott Murray said Friday.
Court documents say Melissa Babian, 40, of Milford, was investigated in 2018 for selling heroin and fentanyl. A person working with law enforcement bought fentanyl from her.
Babian’s case was investigated by the Milford Police Department and the Hillsborough County Sherriff’s Task Force. It is part of Operation Synthetic Opioid Surge (S.O.S.) to combat the large number of overdoses and deaths associated with fentanyl and other synthetic opioids.
