A State Police investigation has determined that no charges will be filed in connection with the death of an 18-year-old pedestrian hit back in March.

The Massachusetts State Police said the 44-year-old Hyde Park man who hit Katelisa Etienne of Milton, was not impaired, was not using his cell phone at the time of the crash, and was not speeding.

The investigation also determined that Etienne walked into the roadway from behind a parked vehicle that was mostly obscured from drivers.

The crash happened March 9 on Brush Hill Road in Milton. Katelisa Etienne was rushed to the hospital where she died.

Etienne’s family have been made aware of the findings of the investigation according to State Police.
