PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — No one was injured in two separate boating emergencies off the Rhode Island coast.

The U.S. Coast Guard says it received a report Saturday evening of a boat that had run out of fuel with five people aboard near Block Island.

The Coast Guard says the distressed vessel was anchored, but the anchor line gave way due to rough waters. The vessel flooded, and all five people fell into the water. They were all reportedly wearing life jackets.

A Coast Guard crew arrived on the scene, recovered all five passengers and returned them to shore.

Later, the Coast Guard received a report of a capsized vessel with two adults and a child in the water near Cedar Tree Point in Greenwich Bay. A good Samaritan recovered them from the water.
