CONCORD, NORTH CAROLINA (WHDH) — A North Carolina neighborhood has started the Christmas season a little early this year, decorating their homes with wreaths instead of typical Halloween fare.

It is because a fellow neighbor with terminal cancer may not live to see the holiday.

You’ll see no tears and hear no sobbing from the woman who is under hospice care.

When doctors told her her life would likely end soon she decided to spend each day left, living it.

So neighbors are determined to have a Christmas in October that no one will forget.
