BOSTON (WHDH) - A Northeastern student is filing a civil lawsuit against the school claiming Northeastern failed to protect her and other students from sexual assault.

The student said she was raped her freshman year after she got drunk at a party.

She reported the incident to campus police but no charges were filed.

The student’s lawyers said the school didn’t take proper action against the student who allegedly assaulted her and they want to change the way assaults are investigated on campus.
