Norton Police arrested a 45-year-old man on Wednesday they say broke into a home while two teens were inside.

Stephen Mudge, 45, of Norton, is facing charges of breaking and entering in the daytime with intent to commit a felony while placing a person in fear, larceny from a building and possession of a class E substance, according to police.

Mudge was held on $10,000 cash bail and was scheduled to be in court on Thursday.

At around 4 p.m., police responded to a Lincoln Street home for a report of a home break-in. The teen caller told police a man had got into the house and then fled outside.

Police say two teens who were home told them a man got into the house through a window, went up the stairs and then fled the house.

Police found Mudge near the home and arrested him.
