A Norwell woman is relieved after she was able to find jewelry of hers, that she accidentally threw out.

Cecilia Callahan says she was cleaning her jewelry when she started rushing around to get the trash ready for pick up.

She says she accidentally scooped up the jewels that were drying on a paper towel and tossed them.

The jewelry included her wedding ring, a diamond pendant, and her grandmother’s engagement ring.

Callahan’s neighbor called the trash company and a garbageman offered some assistance.

With a hand from her husband, Callahan dug through five tons of trash to find the missing jewels.
