NORWOOD, MASS. (WHDH) - Police in Norwood arrested a man Sunday who had been wanted on three outstanding felony warrants.

Officers arrested Anthony D. Young following a brief chase on Prospect Street in Norwood Sunday. Young had three outstanding warrants for carrying a firearm without a license, uttering a false check, and larceny over $250.

Police say Young was on a list of Norwood Police’s most wanted fugitives, and his criminal history includes 122 adult arraignments.

Young had previously fled from police in Westwood in August following a traffic violation.

During surveillance of an apartment Young regularly stays at, an officer noticed Young  on Nahatan Street near Blossom Street. Officers approached Young, but he refused to surrender. After a brief chase, Young was caught and taken into custody.

Young was scheduled to be arraigned in Dedham District Court Monday on his three warrants plus an additional charge for resisting arrest.
