It finally got us. After dodging the coldest air in years – for some across the US – it has come home to roost. While not record-setting (tomorrow morning’s record in Boston is 14°), it’s still numbing.
Beats this though:

Unseasonably cold air over the relatively “warm” Great Lakes’ water is creating an ideal situation for Lake Effect Snow plumes. To the tune of 5-7 feet folks. Unprecedented…even for the hardy folks in the lee of the ‘Lakes.
Cold doesn’t seem all that bad now, does it? Thankfully it will give up ground – after tomorrow. Bit on Thursday, somewhat of a setback on Friday, then a steady climb throughout the weekend.
Without a storm? Yep. Without a storm. Just some clouds passing through. Storms seem to be on schedule to come through on Mondays, and the next is no exception. This is a warmer storm all around, so a morning freeze looks out of the cards post-rain on Monday night. In fact, we could keep the temperatures mild through Tuesday. Early read on Thanksgiving: cool (not cold) and dry…with another warmup during the weekend.
Warm thoughts,
Pete
