The National Treasure Safety Board will hold a press conference Friday to discuss the data recorder recovered from El Faro.

Crews found the recorder late Monday afternoon, 10 months after the cargo ship sank near the Bahamas during Hurricane Joaquin.

According to investigators, they hope the recorder will help tell them what happened before the ship sank.

All 33 crew members were killed.

Three of the victims were Massachusetts natives.
