STURBRIDGE, MASS. (WHDH) - Police arrested a NY man with a large amount of fireworks in Sturbridge Thursday.

According to state police, troopers saw a car driving on Route 84 in Sturbridge without its headlights on.

After stopping the car, police found the driver, 38-year-old Ralph Green of New Rochelle, NY, had a suspended license.

Green was also driving a leased car that he was not authorized to drive.

After police searched the car, they found the trunk loaded with 86 different fireworks, as well as $4,700 in cash.

Green admitted he was bringing the fireworks back to New York to sell. He was arrested and his bail was set at $540.

He was charged with operating on a suspended license, use of a motor vehicle without authority, operating without headlights, and selling fireworks.
