WASHINGTON (WHDH) - A U.S Park police officer is recovering after shooting himself in the foot in Washington, D.C.
Authorities say he shot himself while being attacked by a raccoon.
Someone called 911 to report the raccoon acting oddly at a garden.
When the officer showed up, the raccoon went into attack mode.
Some neighbor’s say they heard as many as nine gunshots.
As for the wounded officer, he is expected to recover.
