(WHDH) — Police in New Jersey came to the rescue of a dog that fell through thin ice at a pond in Pennington.
The officers responded to a home on Pennington Harbourton Road to assist the owner. The dog, Nisel, had fallen into the pond and could not escape.
An officer was fastened to a rope and crawled along the edge of the ice toward the dog, Nisel. The dog swam toward the officer, who was able to grab the dog by the collar and carry it to safety.
