Federal safety officials determined that the collapse of an athletic building that was under construction at Bryant University in Rhode Island was preventable.

Workers were installing steel beams last September when the beams collapsed.

Six workers were hurt, but none were seriously injured.

Officials say that the construction company didn’t build the steel framework properly. The company now faces up to $60,000 in fines.
