Officials are investigating after Massport confirmed a green laser light was aimed at a Delta flight landing Thursday night.

The plane landed safely and no one was hurt, but experts are worries about how often this dangerous crime happens.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, someone pointed a green laser beam at Endeavor flight 4033, which was flying at 1,200 feet.

The incident happened three miles southwest of Logan Airport.

Endeavor is a Canadian regional carrier affiliated with Delta.

There were more than 7,000 reported laser strikes on aircraft in the US through mid-December last year.

Last May, the pilot of a Boston medical helicopter reported a laser beam coming into the cockpit.

Federal investigators said as of mid-December 2015, laser strikes were reported on 55 planes coming to and from Logan Airport.
