DERRY, N.H. (WHDH) - Officials in Derry and Island Pond rescued two people who became trapped in a car after a multi-car crash in Derry, New Hampshire.

According to the Derry Fire Department, emergency crews responded to the scene after 2:30 p.m. Crews found five victims, two of which were trapped in a car.

Four ambulances and a fire truck were dispatched to the scene, and members of the first Engine Company assisted in freeing the victims.

Four patients were transported to Parkland Medical Center in Derry. At least one of the victims had potentially serious injuries.

Crews were assisted by Derry Police, Salem Fire, Windham Fire, and Trinity Ambulance.

The incident is under investigation.
