RUTLAND, Vt. (AP) — The Vermont attorney general on Tuesday will be discussing the results of an investigation into an officer involved fatal shooting that happened in Rutland last fall.
Attorney General T.J. Donovan and Rutland County state’s attorney Rosemary Kennedy will announce the outcome of the probe.
Christopher Louras, 33, of Rutland, was shot by police after they say he fired at the Rutland Police Department in a drive-by shooting and then led police on a chase with an exchange of gunfire on Oct. 8, 2019. He was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
Louras was the son of former Rutland Mayor Christopher Louras.
