The average American will gain at least one pound between Halloween and the New Year.
One man’s weight loss journey may inspire some Americans this holiday season.
Eric Scott beat 31,000 people in a national weight-loss challenge, losing 100 pounds.
“Today I won the 90-day Challenge at Life Time Fitness,” Scott said.
The win came with a $10,000 check.
Scott was shocked when his trainer, Mitch Brown, told him all of his hard work paid off.
In the middle of his health journey, his wife Cait was diagnosed with cancer.
He kept pushing through his workouts and his training, hard work and devotion for his family led to the big moment.
As for the money, Scott plans to pay off his wife’s medical bills. He also plans to take his wife to dinner and buy something for his daughter.
He is the first person from Omaha to win this challenge.
