Traffic headaches and lines at the supermarket got you down? Put down your drumstick and listen up. The weather is taking the backseat this year – unlike last Thanksgiving when heavy, wet snow caused thousands of outages across VT, NH & ME.
Your forecast is as sure as Grandma’s gravy this year. Really couldn’t ask for better weather to kick off the holiday weekend: quiet, dry and chilly tonight, followed by a cloudier forecast for tomorrow. (Yeah, that’s the same way of saying we’re rain – and storm – free for now.)
Only caveat to the forecast is a band of light showers that will drag their feet as they cross New England early Saturday morning. For that reason, we’ll give Saturday a "fair" rating in terms of travel – and possibly in general too. The off-and-on showers could last until noontime with this frontal passage. There’s not a lot of mass cruising through the jet stream that would drive if offshore in a hurry.
Nonetheless, we’ll return to the 40s to finish the holiday weekend, as another jab of chilly air swings through.
However you celebrate, enjoy the weekend and be safe!
