Just like that, our snow event is done. It was a quick hitting cold front that dragged some moisture up into southern New England overnight and most of all it behaved itself with most towns getting a coating and some towns between 1-2″…not enough to get in the way of the AM commute. A perfect way to ease back into the winter season….an Opening Day of sorts.

Now it’s all about the cold for several days as this 2nd cold front is ushering in some much colder weather for the weekend. You’ll have sunshine through the day and again tomorrow but despite the sun our temps only reach the low 40s today and tomorrow we won’t even make it out of the 30s for afternoon highs (our normal high is 53)! Sunday is still chilly but quite a few clouds return throughout the day.

Those clouds are tied to our next storm. It’s hard to believe with all this arctic air that the next storm is not a snowstorm but that’s how it looks….wet, not white. A cold rain arrives midday Monday and is with us through early Tuesday. Bitter cold air follows this storm with daytime highs struggling to reach 32 middle of next week!

Have a great weekend.
