Opening statements have begun in the case of two people accused of sexually assaulting a girl in Saugus. Police said they posted the assault on the popular app Snapchat.

Rashad Deihim headed home to house arrest after hearing the first testimony of how he and Kailyn Bona allegedly raped a drunk and high 16-year-old friend in the woods while another friend sent the video of the encounter out on Snapchat.

Michelle Enos testified her 16-year-old daughter received several videos and immediately showed them to her.

Snapchat videos are designed to disappear after playing but prosecutors said the daughter snapped two screen grabs.

Enos testified her husband called police while her daughter also called the person taking the video.

Deihim and Bonila’s lawyers argued what happened in the woods that night was consensual.

Prosecutors said they believe this is the first time that someone is being prosecuted for a rape allegedly shown on Snapchat.
