This is it folks, the last day of summer and what a summer it has been. In a few words….Warm & dry with a lot of the heat focused at the back end of summer rather than the front end. After the winter/spring we had, this was just about perfect and I’m ready to turn the page into fall.

Even though today is still summer, the feel of fall is real. Maybe not as much with our early morning temps as they are actually running about 5-10 warmer than yesterday morning but rather the grey sky (which is the reason for the milder temps). These clouds have been with us overnight and they will hang with us here in New England for the day. These clouds are not rainmakers (which is to bad seeing how we are running a mild drought here in New England) but they will, at times, create a silvery, grey sky. Those clouds will likely keep our temps in the upper 60s this afternoon. The clouds peel out of here tonight setting the stage for a chilly Wednesday morning.

By the time we hit Wednesday morning, fall will be here (arriving at 4:21 am). The first day of fall offers brilliant blue skies and mild air after our cool morning. those temps will start in the mid/upper 40s and skyrocket into the low/mid 70s by afternoon. Outstanding. High Pressure is the reason and the reason stays with us for the remainder of this week. Enjoy!
