Changes are now in the works after a story you first saw on Hank Investigates.

The deplorable conditions at a marina in the Charlestown Navy Yard will soon be a thing of the past.

Tuesday the state announced an agreement to fix the place up.

Hank first showed you the conditions at the Shipyard Quarters marina last summer, which include sinking docks and splintery boardwalks.

The City of Boston and state requested a cleanup and when that didn’t happen the Attorney General’s office filed a lawsuit against the marina’s owner, Martin Oliner.

Tuesday the A.G. announced that the marina will be sold to a developer who will be responsible for turning the property into a “state of the art” marina by May of 2017.

Oliner could face up to $450,000 in penalties for environmental, and public safety violations.
