LUNENBURG, Mass. (WHDH) — Parents in Lunenburg voiced their opinions to the school board over the decision to cancel the Thanksgiving football game.

Superintendent Loxi Jo Calmes announced the cancelation of the remaining games Monday afternoon during a speech about racist graffiti found one of the football players’ home.

The player, 13-year-old Isaac Phillips, hasn’t been in school all week while the investigation continues.

His family says they support the decision not to play football until the perpetrator comes forward.
