MARLBORO, MASS. (WHDH) - Patients were evacuated from UMass Memorial Hospital in Marlboro late Sunday.
According to officials the issue was related to heating and water supply.
The fire department evacuated patients in freezing colds temperatures, transporting them to other area UMass hospitals.
“The Campus is currently on code black and has activated emergency operations,” the hospital said in a statement. “Operational teams are in the process of transferring inpatients to other UMass Memorial Health hospitals and are working to resolve the situation as quickly and safely as possible. Patient safety remains our top priority.
