A Norwood Patriots fan has kept track of her favorite’s team season in a unique way – by knitting a scarf.
Laura Trudell has kept track of each Patriots game this season through her knitting, using the team’s colors to stand for points scored in games. Points scored by the Patriots are in blue and points by their opponents are in red. A row of white marks a new game.
Trudell, who has been knitting since she was 8 years old, got the idea for her Patriots project online. The scarf is currently more than 12 feet long. She said she hopes to finish the scarf with the Super Bowl.
"The funny thing is, you never know how long it’s going to be because it’s based on the score," said Trudell. "So the beginning of the season, I had no idea how long it would be. And now, it’s just growing and growing but as long as we keep winning, I’m happy with it and I’ll continue to knit."
