FOXBORO, MASS. (WHDH) - The New England Patriots joined RCX Sports to host the first ever girls high school flag football jamboree at Gillette Stadium on Sunday to help girls hone their football skills.

More than 70 high school-aged girls from the New England area participated in the inaugural flag football program in the Socios.com Field House.

A host of volunteers from the Patriots Foundation, RCX Sports, and the Seacoast Youth Flag Football League assisted with the scrimmage-style tournament.

The free program is designed to teach non-contact football skills and techniques to high school aged girls. NFL FLAG powered by RCX Sports has led efforts to expand women’s flag football across the U.S. at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels.
