Darrelle Revis finally achieved what has become routine for many of his Patriots teammates.
New England’s sixth consecutive AFC East title is the first division championship of the cornerback’s eight-year career. Now he and the Patriots are looking forward to their next big goal. That’s clinching the No.1 conference seed and home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.
They routed the Miami Dolphins 41-13 on Sunday and wrap up the regular season with games against two division rivals, the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills. The Patriots beat both in the first meetings with them this season.
New England (11-3) would finish with the No. 2 seed if it loses either game and if the Denver Broncos win both of theirs against Cincinnati and Oakland.
