FOXBORO, Mass. (WHDH) – It was a night to remember for one young fan at the Patriots game Saturday night, and not just because the home team won.
Ten-year-old Jack Yates has been attending games since he was four but after the win over Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts he wanted to go give the players high fives.
“They were walking out Alfonzo Dennard threw his glove up and I ended up catching it,” Jack said.
Jack’s luck just kept getting better though as more players filed by.
“Right after that Ninkovich was walking out and he came up and handed this glove to me,” Jack said.
Jack spent the entire next day drying the gloves off with his grandmother’s hair dryer.
“To them that might not have been a big deal but to Jack and kids like Jack it’s life changing for them. All he can think about look at,” Jack’s mom Jolene Yates said.
Jack said he’ll be wearing both gloves Sunday while he watches the Patriots take on the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship game and he hopes to have both players sign their gloves.
