Police say a pedestrian was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being struck by an Uber driver in Boston near Fenway Park Monday night.
Boston police spokesman Dave Estrada says the crash occurred in front of Jerry Remy’s Sports Bar and Grill around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Boylston and Ipswich streets.
The victim, who wasn’t identified, was rushed to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in critical condition but is expected to survive.
Boston Police said an Uber driver was at the wheel of the Honda that hit the pedestrian.
The driver remained at the scene following the accident.
The victim is survived to expect his injuries.
Boylston Street was closed to traffic for a short period of time.
An investigation is active and ongoing.
No charges are pending at this point….a witness says some of the victim’s clothing was in the street. More on @7News at 4 and 5.
