A woman was seriously injured after police said she was struck by a pickup truck in Salem Thursday evening.
The 66-year-old woman was hit as she tried to cross Highland Avenue at Proctor Street. The driver, a 26-year-old man, stopped at the scene and called 911. A witness said the woman did not look good and the driver appeared to be very shaken up.
The woman was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. State Police said Salem Police will determine if any charges will be filed against the driver.
