Cambridge Police responded to a report of a person shot on Putnam Avenue Friday afternoon.
Police say the victim suffered a leg wound.
According to police, an early investigation shows a fight occurred between two people who where known to each other. The fight escalated and led to the shooting, police said.
The public is not in danger.
