CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (WHDH) — The manager of a Texas pizzeria stepped in during an armed robbery to protect one of his employees, who is pregnant.

Police said the masked man went into a Little Caesar’s, where he said he was homeless and then pulled out a knife, threatning the woman.

The manager came to the woman’s rescue, offering the man pizza instead of robbing their cash register.

“He said, ‘If you’re not gonna give me the money at least give me the pizza.’ And I said, yes sir, if you get out of my store. I have a pregnant lady in here and she’s almost due,” said the store manager.

Police have yet to track down the suspect.
