REVERE, MASS. (WHDH) - State Police are increasing patrols at the Belle Isle Marsh Reservation after they said two men were attacked there in the past two weeks.
Police said an 83-year-old man was found in the park on May 29. He had a serious head injury and later died on June 1. The same day, police were called back to the park about an assault on a 67-year-old man from Lynn. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries and is expected to be OK.
State Police are now investigating if the two attacks are linked. People who frequently use the park said they have never felt unsafe there but will be more careful now.
