DANIELSON, Conn. (AP) — Connecticut State Police say a Massachusetts woman and her husband faces charges after children ages 3, 5 and 6 in their custody were found malnourished, dehydrated, unable to speak and missing teeth.

Police say 33-year-old Donna Rodeheffer, of Webster, Massachusetts, was charged Tuesday with negligent cruelty to persons and risk of injury to a child. She was held on $150,000 bond. It’s unclear if she has an attorney.

Authorities say Rodeheffer’s husband was arrested Nov. 9 as a fugitive in Arizona on child porn charges and will be brought back to Connecticut to face those charges and an arrest warrant on the neglect charge.

The children were taken into state custody after they were found in the Danielson home in July.
