GARDINER, Maine (AP) — A 21-year-old man is charged with stabbing one man and shooting another in an altercation, police said.
Dylan Ketcham, of Gardiner, was arrested Saturday afternoon at the police department, where he had been questioned about the attacks, said Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety. He’s charged with elevated aggravated assault.
State police used a tracking dog to find Ketcham hiding in the foundation of an abandoned building early Saturday, police said.
Both victims were transported by ambulance to MaineGeneral Hospital before being taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Maine Medical Center in Portland. Their names and conditions weren’t immediately disclosed.
Police were alerted when one of the injured men sought help at a home in Gardiner. Police found the injured men outside the home.
