WORCESTER, MASS. (WHDH) - Worcester Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering in progress Friday night.
When officers arrived they were told two men were attempting to break into the apartment but weren’t successful.
Officers went to the back of the building to locate the suspects and saw two men walking away from the building.
When police closed in on the two meant, they noticed one of the men, Elvis Urena, 27 of Worcester, was acting nervous.
Officers feared that Urena may have had a handgun.
A frisk of his outer clothing revealed a handgun tucked into his waistband.
Officers immediately removed the weapon.
Urena didn’t have a license to carry the weapon.
He was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition without an FID card, carrying a loaded firearm without a license and possession of ammunition without an FID card.
There was no damage to the apartment.
Urena was arraigned at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
