SKOWHEGAN, Maine (AP) — Maine State Police have arrested a babysitter on a child porn charge, and detectives are looking into whether there could be multiple victims.
Troopers say 28-year-old Christopher Raiche, of Skowhegan, is charged with possessing sexually explicit material. Investigators think he may have taken dozens of sexually explicit photos of Maine children under the age of 12.
He’s being held on $250,000 bail at the Somerset County Jail, where he was taken after his Oct. 18 arrest. Jail paperwork doesn’t indicate whether he has a lawyer. A message was left at the district attorney’s office.
Investigators say Raiche babysat kids at his home, and at others’ homes.
His home was searched after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Some children have been identified.
