A 4-month-long investigation has led to arrest in connection with a heroin trafficking organization according to Massachusetts State Police.

Investigators executed a search warrant at a home in Mattapan Tuesday.  Police seized two kilograms of suspected heroin and fentanyl along with a Sig Sauer .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol.

Two people were taken into custody in connection with the case in Revere.  Both were expected to be arraigned in Chelsea District Court Wednesday on trafficking and other charges.

The investigation included several agencies including State Police, Boston Police, Revere Police, and members of the Drug Enforcement Administration.
